Worldwide Fruits in Spalding have been supporting Tulip Academy this year. They have kindly provided weekly fruit boxes for the students and allowed both campuses to visit their factory.
The students have been able to see different aspects of the company and complete a factory tour as part of work experience visits. They have then been shown the quality control and tasting process which they thoroughly enjoyed.
The team at Worldwide Fruits are also helping students with supported work experience, including sorting fruit, packing into boxes, and applying labels. It’s fantastic to see how quickly they have settled into the different roles and the factory staff have been amazing with their support.
Anna Pike, Head of Human Resources had the following to say about our students:
“We thoroughly enjoy hosting visits for Tulip Academy students and teachers. The students are always well prepared, have lots of questions and enjoy seeing our facility and understanding more about different types of fruit.
It’s fantastic to see them engage with the products and learn new things. They are a credit to the school.”
