How wonderful to see one of our students enjoying a Saturday music session with Roberta at Wings of Sound! Well done, Jessica! 🎶A wonderful weekend of music.

Friday we sang our way into the weekend at Inclusive Community Choir Despite only a few of us there, we are gaining confidence as we explore part singing and learn new signs too.

Do come try us out.

I love my Saturday sessions.

Jessica is using her visual plan of the session really well and this will eventually allow her to feel safe to explore more parallel and interactive music making. Look at how, today, she played piano alongside me.
Jessica has a clear concept of pitch and plays songs in the key she's heard them in without being shown. I look forward to exploring if this is absolute pitch.

Did you know that many people who are autistic hear everything as music?! How phenomenal is that?

The icing in the cake today was a spontaneous hug during goodbye.

I forgot to take pictures when working with Katie today, mostly because we were too busy. Katie's carers are fantastic at joining in with the sessions. We used the parachute today to exploring Up and Down, then Slowly and Quickly. Katie communicates through gesture and showed me she wanted the quick section with a wiggle of her upper body.

During our end of session regulation time, we explored a brief intensive interaction when Katie vocalised at me and smiled when I copied it back to her.
