Our focus at Tulip Academy Spalding is to prepare pupils for the future. As part of this approach, we offer a variety of qualifications which will enhance opportunities in life and provide a firm foundation for further education.
We offer AQA Accreditation at Pre-Entry and Entry Level, dependent on individual pupil need and ability.
Pupils have an opportunity throughout Key Stage 3, 4 and 5 to gain accreditation for pieces of work, learning experiences and educational visits, all which focus on developing our pupil’s curriculum knowledge and skills, communication skills, social communication, independence and daily living and vocational skills. This supports our pupils’ transition into adulthood and helps prepare them for life after Tulip Academy Spalding.

Functional Skills
Using Pearson Edexcel Functional Skills, we offer qualifications in English, Mathematics and ICT from Entry 1 to Level 2. They are designed to develop and demonstrate the practical skills needed in real-life situations. They are also an accepted part of all Apprenticeship standards and frameworks in England.
Entry Level Certificate in Science
Using the AQA syllabus, the ELC builds on the core scientific concepts and skills taught at Key Stage 3 and builds pupils’ confidence in science. Biology, Chemistry and Physics units are taught and assessed during Year 9 and Year 10.
GCSE
For those pupils working at the appropriate level, we offer English and Mathematics at GCSE using the AQA syllabus. Examinations take place in the summer series of the exam cycle.
