Post-16 Phase
Our Post-16 phase is designed to empower students to confidently transition into adult life, achieve independence, and engage meaningfully with their communities. We are committed to creating a supportive and inclusive environment where every student is valued and encouraged to reach their full potential. Our curriculum is designed around three key pillars:
Community Engagement
We believe that active participation in the local community is key to developing a sense of belonging and purpose. Students are encouraged to engage with local initiatives, volunteering opportunities, and social opportunities. This ensures they understand the importance of contributing to society, while also enhancing their social skills and building lasting connections.
Preparation for Adult Life
Through tailored learning experiences, we focus on equipping students with essential life skills, including self-care, financial literacy, decision-making, and communication. We aim to support students in becoming confident and self-sufficient, with an emphasis on personal growth, resilience, and well-being.
Independent Living
A central aim is to foster independence in all aspects of life. Our curriculum includes practical lessons in home management, cooking, personal budgeting, health, and travel training. We also support students to develop problem-solving and organisational skills to help them navigate everyday tasks confidently and autonomously.
